The State Job Agency has more than 650 economic, workforce development, and business assistance organizations, which were not well aligned. These organizations operated under different brands, used duplicative tools, and had poor reputations with site selection consultants. They needed a responsive, high-performing, and accountable economic development network to gain a significant advantage for business retention, expansion, and attraction. They also needed the ability to share information with their partners in a real-time, collaborative way.
In order to improve their business processes and increase efficiencies, Acumen Solutions worked with key stakeholders to determine their biggest pain points and come up with Solutions to those problems. Through Salesforce, we were able to migrate from paper forms to digital forms that are stored within Salesforce. We implemented the Partner Communities feature, which includes Chatter, to give the Agency the ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals inside their organization. To address the Agency's need for real-time information, we utilized Informatica Cloud to allow real-time data sharing between the organizations we created in Salesforce.com. To ensure privacy and security policies were maintained, we implemented security measures that maintain the privacy of each uploaded document into Salesforce.

By working smarter, the Agency makes it easier for their customers to get what they need. The move from physical to digital forms makes it easier to share information between the Agency and its partners and to promote collaboration. A more streamlined business process gives them the ability to coordinate efficiently with all the moving parts within their organization, so they can better address their clients' needs while also promoting transparency throughout their business.
