Acumen Solutions Names New Director of Communications and Media Practice

Experienced Business Leader Paula I. Birth Adds Proven Operational and Sales Expertise in the Cable Industry

Vienna, VA —August 5 , 2008 – Acumen Solutions, a leading business and technology consulting firm with offices across the U.S. and in Europe, announced today that Paula I. Birth has been named Director in their Communications and Media practice. Birth is responsible for market expansion within the cable industry.

Birth has more than twenty years of experience in telecommunications and media companies. Most recently, she was director of sales operations for Comcast Business Services where she was responsible for all sales infrastructures and operations across five regions in the Eastern division. At Comcast Ms. Birth was also in charge of process flow development, customer relationship management (CRM) deployment, sales incentive programs and third party vendor relationships for the division.

Prior to Comcast, Birth held a variety of leadership positions in the telecommunications and media industries, including Mediacom Communications of New York, Charter Communications, PenTeleData and C-TEC Corporation. Ms. Birth also founded, and operated for many years, P-Squared Solutions, LLC, a professional consulting firm specializing in business development, sales, marketing, integration, management, and data communications.

Birth received her bachelor of business administration from Alameda University in Idaho. Paula is a member of the Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and has served on their Business Service committee. She is also a member of Society of Cable and Telephony Engineers and Women in Cable.
