Green Policy

Acumen Solutions has commited to the global environment with the “Go Green” policy to raise awareness for local action at Acumen Solutions headquarters in the Washington, DC area and includes their offices in London, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. This policy has also been adopted by Acumen Solutions’ subsidiary Alteritech.

While basic recycling has been common at many  Acumen Solutions offices  this new company-wide policy is part of an ongoing review of its social responsibility.  David Joubran, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “To promote conservation and help preserve the resources of our planet, our employees have affirmed that we must act in  individual ways and together, we can all become part of the solution. “

Among the immediate steps to be taken are the following:

  • Purchase of acid-free printing paper manufactured using an elemental chlorine-free process
  • Purchase of recycled office supplies whenever possible
  • Printing of business cards without titles so that individuals can reuse their business cards as they are promoted
  • Recycling of printer ink cartridges and computer hardware
  • Recycling of paper by providing large recycling receptacles in common areas
  • Signs posted throughout offices to encourage reuse and educate staff on proper recycle methods.
  • Maintaining good indoor air quality with plants
  • Promoting the use of water and energy efficiently

Acumen Solutions is committing to a continual evaluation of its energy conservation practices and the consideration of new ways to be environmentally conscious.
